- Question: What file format and codec does the ContourHD1080p record to?
- Answer: The Contour GPS uses H.264 video codec, AAC audio compression, and a .mov file type. Your videos will be accepted by almost all HD video editing programs and players
- Question: How long will the battery last
- Answer: The battery is a rechargeable Ion Lithium that will last aprox 3 hrs
- Question: How do i adjust the video settings
- Answer: There are 4 different resolutions and photo mode available for the contour GPS with the ability to set up your camera to select 2 different resolutions in the field. By opening the back door of the camera you will see a switch with the numbers 1 and 2 these are your presets to select the resolutions you require connect your camera to your computer open the Storyteller Software and select camera from the top menu bar, here you can select which resolution will be used when selecting the number 1 or 2. You will also be able to adjust the mic gain and lighting settings as well as your bit rate.
- Question: Is the Contour GPS and Software compatable with Mac and Windows
- Answer: Yes the Storyteller Software is compatable with Windows XP, Vista and 7 as well as Mac 10.5 or greater
- Question: How long can I record for on a 32GB SD card
- Answer: Filming in the highest resolution 1080p allow aprox 12 to 15 min per GB so aprox 8 hrs of continous filming using a 32 GB card.
